Tra passato e futuro
A Capri il nome Massa è sinonimo di tradizione. Una lunga storia che resiste al tempo e che ha attraversato tre secoli; la fine dell’Ottocento quando Giuseppe Massa aprì la boutique, poi il Novecento che ha visto l’avvicendarsi di Vittorio prima (erede di Giuseppe) e di suo figlio poi che ha lo stesso nome del nonno ma conosciuto dai più col nome di Beppe. E gli anni Duemila, con la presenza sempre più costante delle figlie di Beppe e di sua moglie Nunzia all’interno della boutique. Sono loro, Floriana e Roberta, il futuro di Massa. Una nuova generazione che raccoglie l’esperienza di una famiglia che ha dedicato tutta la vita alla boutique che porta il suo nome.
Floriana, 38 anni, è molto altruista, coscienziosa e con uno spiccato gusto artistico, nel rispetto delle caratteristiche del suo segno zodiacale, la Vergine.
Roberta, la più piccola, ha 27 anni è riflessiva e attenta al particolare e questa attenzione la si riscontra nella cura per gli accessori. «Per me la boutique Massa – racconta Roberta – è importante perché è il microcosmo a cui appartengono la mia realizzazione e il mio futuro. Questo negozio, nel tempo e nelle varie generazioni, si è evoluto ma ha sempre mantenuto la sua originalità e la sua immagine di bottega storica che rappresenta la Capri di una volta, pur adeguandosi alle tendenze del momento». Uno stile unico e intramontabile di cui la boutique è perfetta espressione da generazioni. E per conoscere l’ultima basta varcare la soglia del negozio di via Vittorio Emanuele.
Between past and future
On Capri, the name Massa is synonymous with tradition. It’s a long story that has stood the test of time and spans three centuries: starting at the end of the 19th century, when Giuseppe Massa opened his shop, through the 20th century, which saw him succeeded first by Vittorio (Giuseppe’s heir) and then by Vittorio’s son, who has the same name as his grandfather, although he’s better known to most people as Beppe. And then the 2000s, with Beppe’s daughters and wife, Nunzia, becoming an ever more constant presence in the boutique. It is the daughters, Floriana and Roberta, who are the future of Massa: a new generation encapsulating the experience of a family that has devoted its whole life to the boutique that bears its name. Floriana, 38, is very altruistic and conscientious, with a marked artistic bent, in line with the characteristics of her zodiac sign, Virgo. Roberta, the younger one, is 27, and is thoughtful and attentive to detail; her meticulousness is revealed in the care she takes over accessories. “The Massa boutique is important to me,” Roberta explains, “because it’s a microcosm containing my self-realization and my future. This shop has evolved over time and through the different generations, but it has always maintained its own originality and its image as a historic shop that represents the Capri of earlier times, as well as adapting to the trends of today.” Capri style, in other words: that unique, timeless style, of which the Massa boutique has been the perfect expression for generations.
