Una passione da condividere
Prendi un libro, lascia un libro. È l’unica regola per condividere la passione della lettura anche a Capri. La Little Free Library, nata negli Stati Uniti qualche anno fa, è sbarcata infatti anche sull’isola azzurra, in via Don Giobbe Ruocco 28, poco distante dal porto.
In cosa consiste? Semplice. Una casetta istallata su un muro con dentro tanti libri. Si apre lo sportello, si prende il libro che si desidera leggere e si lascia il volume di cui si vuole condividere il contenuto. Niente di più semplice, e tutto a titolo totalmente gratuito.
L’idea, di Costanza Cerrotta, è nata dopo aver trovato sul web il sito dell’organizzazione ideatrice della nuova modalità di condivisione del sapere e della cultura, littlefreelibrary.org. Così, dopo l’iscrizione, Costanza ha ricevuto un numero di identificazione attraverso il quale è possibile anche la geolocalizzazione su Google Maps.
La casetta caprese ha già mostrato la sua singolarità. Sono molti infatti i libri in lingua originale che si possono trovare al suo interno, a riprova che non solo i capresi o i turisti italiani che sbarcano sull’isola amano condividere il piacere di un buon libro.
A shared passion
Take a book, leave a book. That’s the only rule for sharing a passion for reading on Capri too. The Little Free Library, created in the United States a few years ago, has landed on the azure isle, in Via Don Giobbe Ruocco 28, not far from the harbour.
What does it consist of? That’s simple: there’s a box installed in a wall, with lots of books inside. You open the door, take the book you want to read and leave a book you want to share. It couldn’t be simpler, and it’s all completely free.
Costanza Cerrotta got the idea after coming across the website of the organization that came up with the original idea for this new way of sharing knowledge and culture: littlefreelibrary.org. So, after enrolling in the organization, Costanza received an identification number which enables the geolocation of the box to be added to Google Maps.
The box on Capri has already proved to be unique. There are lots of books in a range of different languages inside it, as proof that it’s not just the Capri residents or Italian tourists visiting the island who enjoy sharing the pleasure of a good book.
